VeloShine Cycling team announces title sponsors for 2012
The VeloShine Cycling Team (formerly Hincapie Sportswear / Green Creation
Cycling Team) is pleased to announce VeloShine (www.veloshine.com) as title
sponsor for the 2012 race season. VeloShine Wipes are the premier cleaning product for eco-conscious cyclists who recognize the importance of maintaining a clean bike in an environmentally friendly way. VeloShine is the only multifunctional wipe of its kind; specifically designed for cyclists to use on and off of the bike! Both the men and
women’s teams will compete domestically and internationally as the VeloShine

For the 2nd year in a row, the team will be racing the Trek flagship carbon road bike, the Madone. The team has been a part of the Trek family for the past five seasons racing the Lemond, Gary Fisher, and Trek brands, so we are very excited to continue this partnership with them for another season.
For 2012 the team has joined forces with Mercury Bikes wheels (www.mercurybikes.com) to help roll us to victory. Mercury will be outfitting the Men’s and Women’s teams with the S3 and S5 model carbon clinchers for racing and the
Mercury Alloy model for training. “We are really excited about the sponsorship of the Veloshine team. We couldn’t think of a better way to introduce the 2012 wheels than working with the Southeast’s premiere team” says Chris Mogridge owner Mercury Bikes.
The 2012 VeloShine Men’s team will be led by Multi-time National Champion
Chris Harkey, and will be supported by a solid group of returning elite riders to include, National Road Race Medalist John Delong, former Bermuda National Road Race Champion Geri Mewitt, as well as teammates Shane Martin and David
Flynn. Additions to the 2012 roster include Two time National Champion Scottie Weiss (USA), Scotland Leman (USA), and young gun Justin Crawford (USA). These 3 new roster additions are based in the VA area where climbing is abundant. Look for these guys to be strong supporting members as well as GC contenders.
Our women’s team has continued to grow in size and success and will feature 
9 riders for the 2012 season. The team will see the return of current Masters National Road Race and Criterium Champion, Sara Tussey, Lori Harkey, and former Jr. National Champion Lauren Trull Rigby.
Also returning is multi-time GA State Time Trial Champion Nancy Jones,
Marcelle Vanore, and former National Indoor Speed Skating Champion Jacqueline Blair.

Both the Men’s and Women’s teams will be competing in Southeast road and
cyclocross events as well as select national NRC races and the US National
Championships (Elite, Masters, and U23 Nationals).
Additionally, for the 2012 season our team will be instrumental in helping
mentor a group of road category 3, 4, and 5 racers. They will be racing under VeloShine
colors and will further promote VeloShine, Hincapie Sportswear, Mercury, and
the rest of our sponsors.
